Forms of Membership

Ordinary membership is open to all persons interested in the study of Roman pottery (see the statutes).

Affiliated membership is open to scholarly organizations and libraries.

Members honoris causa are persons of distinction elected from time to time by a General Meeting of the Society.

All members receive the Acta and Communicationes of the Society without charge, including notices of congresses of the Society. (Note that it is not necessary to be a member in order to attend an RCRF congress.)

Membership subscriptions are payable by Ordinary and Affiliated Members every two years, in accordance with the rhythm of publication of the RCRF Acta. The current rates are EUR 90 (for two years) for Ordinary Members and EUR 145 for Affiliated Members. A discount of 50 per cent (to EUR 45) is allowed for bona fide students (studying full-time) and, in cases of exceptional hardship, the payment of a subscription may be waived on application to the Treasurer.

How to join? Enquiries concerning membership should be addressed to the Treasurer, giving the postal address to which you wish the Acta to be delivered and an electronic address if you have one. It is a condition of membership that members permit these details to be stored electronically and to be circulated to other members of the Society from time to time.
